You have heard correct. Most Property Managers force prospective tenants to schedule viewings around their (the Property Manager’s) schedule and not when its convenient for the prospective tenant. If your property is not conveniently located to the Property Manager, it may be a while before they schedule a viewing at it. After work or weekends? Forget it! A surprising number of Property Managers don’t accept payment online, don’t have online applications etc. This means that prospective tenants need to get a paper application, write with a black or blue pen (holy moly wrist cramp), bring it back to the office or scan it in and then wait for the Property Manager to review it. This is a hassle and most prospective tenants don’t want that hassle!
